Abstract

OFDM (Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing);PAPR (peak-toaverage power ratio)
Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing(OFDM) is a popular transmission technology for wireless broadband communication. Inherent high peak-to-average power ratio(PAPR), wich is critical for OFDM systems, could be reduced by several techniques such as clipping, recursive clipping and filtering, algebraic coding, tone reservation, tone injection, active constellation extension, selective mapping, and partial transmit sequences. In this article, we shall give an overview of these PAPR reduction techniques.
