摘要
This letter presents the design of a broadband high-power amplifier (PA) employing a novel approach for complex impedance transformation and the technique of de-embedding the output capacitor (C out ) for effective broadband matching network design. By utilizing transformers in the form of the low-pass filter (LPF) within the matching network, a PA fabricated using 0.25-μm GaN technology with a fractional bandwidth up to 47.4%, a maximum output power (P out ) of 38.4 dBm, and a peak power-added efficiency (PAE) of 36% is demonstrated.
