Abstract

Evaporator OSRM PAFC Reformer Removal channel Chemical Engineering (miscellaneous) Bioengineering
This paper reports a hybrid fuel cell system integrated with a methanol evaporator, a methanol solution removal channel, a methanol reformer, and a phosphoric acid fuel cell. Through the micro methanol evaporator, liquid MeOH/H2O2 mixture evaporates rapidly with bubble size 6-8Pm 2 . The gas-phase mixture is then reformed into hydrogen by oxidative steam reforming of methanol (OSRM) reaction in a Swiss-roll flow channel reactor. water and residual methanol are then removed by a hydrophilic/hydrophobic microchannel. For the test of the integrated reforming-type phosphoric acid fuel cell (PAFC) system, the best performance achieves 167mW/cm 2
