Acceptance sampling plan, a practical technique in the field of quality control in industrial production, employs a small number of samples to determine whether the product meets quality standards. The Skip-lot sampling plan (SkSP) is an advantageous strategy for lot sentencing that provides mechanism with skipping a fraction of lots when producers consistently provide lots with superior quality. This paper aims to propose a modified skip-lot sampling plan that considers RGS plan as reference plan based on the index Cpmk. The operating characteristic (OC) function of the proposed plan is derived based on exact sampling distribution of the estimated Cpmk instead of approximation methods. The determination of plan parameters is formulated as a nonlinear optimization programming problem where the objective function is to minimize average sample number (ASN) under various allowable risks and quality requirements. Examiners can obtain necessary information including required sample size and the associated criterion for lot sentencing from the provided tables of plan parameters. Finally, the performance of the developed plan is examined and compared with traditional sampling strategies.
