Abstract
In this paper, a novel oxygen nanoparticle (ONP) sensor based on fluorescent intensity measurement is introduced. A range of sizes and concentrations of the oxygen nanosensors [1] were examined in both fibroblast (L929) and human Bone Marrow-derived Mesenchymal Stem Cells (hBM-MSCs) in order to establish the potential use in monitoring and controlling the physiological microenvironment of engineered tissue in a noninvasive way in real time for tissue engineering (TE) application.
