Abstract
A high efficient passive water/air management system is proposed in this paper. This device can separate liquid flow and gas flow pathways without retarding each other by using corner channel structures and hydrophobicity arrangement. The tested water removability is 4.65μl s -1 cm -2 , which is sufficient to deal with the water generation rate at the cathode of micro methanol direct fuel cell (μ-DMFC) operated under 400mA/cm 2 . © 2009 CBMS.
