Abstract
In the knowledge-centric business environment, the intellectual properties (IPs) play an important role for improvement of enterprise R&D efficiency. In this paper, a Web-based platform for IP valuation and trading is developed. Under the platform, IP providers can provide the IPs for trading and IP potential users can acquire the IPs via the multiple search mechanisms. Moreover, the platform can also provide IP price suggestions to the IP users based on the characteristics of IPs, IP trading specifications and IP provider. Four fundamental modules including the IP provision module, IP searching module, IP valuation module and utility module are provided in the platform. Under the proposed IP trading platform, the IP providers and IP users can efficiently search and exchange IPs. In the highly competitive global market, the proposed platform can significantly enhance the performance of IP trading and therefore the enterprise R&D tasks can be efficiently accomplished.
