Abstract

Bio-molecule Non-labeling SERS
In this paper, we propose to assemble/concentrate SERS nanoparticels and biomolecules simultaneously at a designated position for high sensitive and rapid bio-sensing, as shown in Fig. 1. This technology provides accurate molecule identification by SERS, high precision positioning, and significant signal enhancement from both SERS particle and biomolecule concentration, all occur at once in a very short time less than 4 minutes. Experimental results demonstrated the Raman signal intensity can be increased to 106 folds in 2 minute for detecting R6G molecule and primer [A]30 at 1 and 100 nM, respectively. This highly stacked SERS sensor provides a non-labeling sensing method for high sensitive and non-labeling bio-molecule detection in a short time.
