Abstract
In this study, we demonstrated an integrated microfluidic platform capable of performing the entire process for immunohistochemistry staining of formalin-fixed paraffin embedded (FFPE) tissue samples. The entire pretreatment and staining procedure could be automated within 2 hours, which is 50% shorter than the conventional approach. Moreover, ten tissue samples could be simultaneously stained by using a relatively small amount of reagents. A new aptamer specific to ovarian cancer was also used to replace conventional, expensive antibodies. With this approach, rapid and high-throughput staining of clinical tissue samples could be stained for cancer diagnosis.
