Abstract

Beam shaping Deformable grating grid Diffraction Radiation Computer Networks and Communications Instrumentation
A beam shaping technique using deformable grating grid is presented in this work. Based on diffraction theory, the 3'3 diamond-shape metallic girds fabricated with ductile material can re-distribute electric field, serving as the secondary radiation source. Experimental result shows that the 3-dB beamwidth of radiation pattern can be changed from 64 ° to 51° along with the grid extension.
