Abstract
Multi-wavelength second harmonic generation from an aperiodic optical superlattice (AOS) structure in a z-cut lithium niobate was experimentally demonstrated. The pump source was a continuous-wave external-cavity diode laser followed by an erbium-doped fiber amplifier. AOS design was implemented using simulated annealing method, where the crystal domain block was sequentially chosen when the conversion efficiency of the design wavelengths was sequentially optimized. Multi-wavelength second harmonic generations showed equalized outputs at design wavelengths and the normalized nonlinear conversion efficiency was about 0.04%/W.cm.
