Abstract
The purpose of this study was to reveal the challenges and prospects of university counseling centers (UCCs) from UCC directors in Taiwan. Twelve directors with an average age of 42.85 years and an average of 9.25 years of working experience at UCCs participated in this study. In-depth interviews were adopted to collect and analyze the data. Directors in this study emphasized that UCC professionals need to enhance the quality of UCC, to build the image of UCC, and to establish the helping network on and out of campus.
