Abstract

Accurate power sharing Communication Consensus Droop control Microgrid Energy Engineering and Power Technology Renewable Energy Sustainability and the Environment Control and Optimization Computer Networks and Communications Hardware and Architecture Information Systems and Management
The conventional droop control technology, which can achieve an autonomous power sharing among distributed resources interface converters, suffers from the inaccurate reactive power sharing due to its dependence on line impedances. In this paper, a novel consensus-based cooperative droop control method implemented in the primary control level is proposed to achieve accurate power sharing among distributed generators with the help of sparse communication network. The reactive power sharing issue is investigated and the proposed controller is described. Besides, the small-signal model is developed to analyse the system stability, sensitivity of control parameters and the influence of communication delay. Simulation and experiment results are presented and the performance of the proposed droop control under different operation scenario is verified, including load change, plug-and-play and communication fault.
