Abstract
This paper proposes a compensation strategy for the railway transaction system with Scott and V/V transformers by the delta-connected cascaded converter. The compensation approach is different from the conventional compensation method due to the secondary side of the transaction transformer is composed of two single-phase grid systems. The detailed relations between primary and secondary sides of the Scott and V/V transformers are discussed in this paper. Besides, the compensation influence of the cascaded converter is described as well. The compensation strategies are designed based on these analyses. The simulation results are given to verify the proposed method.
