Abstract
This paper proposes a novel method controlling the opening size of a nanopore by using AC iDEP forces for singe molecule manipulation. i-DEP force was generated by applying an RF power across the electrodes surrounding the nanopore- array, which is fabricated by micro fabrication and focus-ion-beam etching. Fluorescent dye Rhodamine-B 70kDa (∼7nm) was employed for nano-pore testing and it demonstrated a functional nano-pore open and close characteristic for successful filtration of nano size molecules efficiently. © 2009 CBMS.
