Abstract
This paper presents a control scheme for the grid-connected hybrid cascaded converter with renewable energy resources, which is based on distributed architecture. Different from the conventional centralized control architecture, this paper makes the control scheme decentralized so as to simplify the system implementation. Despite the simplification, the proposed control scheme is capable of achieving both the system current control and the DC capacitor voltage balancing control no matter the system is balanced or unbalanced. Several laboratory test results are provided to verify the feasibility of the proposed control scheme.
