摘要
Sub-terahertz (Sub-THz) waves offer unique attributes, penetrating non-metallic materials with bio-safety assurance. However, the emergence of troublesome speckle artifacts hinders their practical imaging applications, primarily due to diffraction effects. To address this, we introduce the Diffuser- aided sub-THz Imaging System (DaISy). DaISy utilizes an economic diffuser and a focusing lens to convert coherent waves into incoherent counterparts, addressing speckle issues. Our coherence theory-based framework guides the design and validation of the THz diffuser, resulting in substantial improvements in imaging quality and nearly diffraction-limited spatial resolution.
