Abstract
In 1983, NASA/JPL began a study for a scatterometer to be flown on the Navy Remote Sensing System (NROSS) mission that will be launched in the late 1980's. This scatterometer will utilize a onboard digital filter processor to eliminate some of the problems associated with fixed frequency analog filters. This paper describes some aspects of the design and performance analysis of the digital signal processor for such a spaceborne scatterometer.
