Abstract
We have developed a DNA extraction platform by EWOD-based digital microfluidics (DMF), and demonstrated that our platform can extract lower concentration of cfDNA from embryo culture medium of mouse. Compared to traditional methods, our platform used lower volume of reagents on the order of micro-liter or less, and obtained high recovery rate. Therefore, the developed platform can offer the potential bio-applications, such as detection of sample preparations for bacteria, viruses and genetic sequencing, etc.
