Abstract
We developed pressure driven reverse phase liquid chromatography using an extended-nano channel (10-1000 nm) for 10 plate numbers. The chromatography was performed using a 100 mm long extended-nano channel (the world's longest extended-nano channel) with 5 pL injection volume. The obtained theoretical plate numbers 7.2-8.9×10 were well accorded with theoretically-estimated one. From these results, performance of the system was verified, and it has potential to realize 10 plates for protein and peptide separation. This technique will be a strong tool for analysis of ultrasmall biological samples like a single cell.
