In this research, the influence of flow distribution, hydrophobic gas-venting membrane, diverging or converging channels and micro-sized artificial nucleation cavities on thermal performance of a micro-channel evaporator would be investigated. The evaporator with micro-converging channels, gas-venting membranes, better flow distribution, but without artificial nucleation cavities have better drying ability.
