Abstract
In this paper, we are dealing with educational robotics at primary school in connection with the introduction to programming, which is an inherent part of controlling robots and robotic kits. As these technologies are rapidly evolving, it is natural that approaches to the implementation of robotics in teaching must vary. The paper presents two studies, one of them conducted in Taiwan and the other in Slovakia. Due to the diversity of cultures, the different robotic kits used, and also other factors affecting the course of research, the studies differ to some extent. Nevertheless, the conclusions in which both studies agree are that educational robotics brings elements into learning that are motivating to pupils, they stimulate their interest in discovering and exploring, develop various skills such as communication, collaboration, fine motor skills, etc. In an interactive way they also demonstrate the results of the pupils' programs. Pupils find this attractive that can lead to better understanding of the program.
