A meta-surface with electromechanically switchable diamagnetic terahertz metamolecules is presented and experimentally demonstrated. The presented reconfigurable metasurface enables record-high modulation depths and modulation bandwidths at terahertz frequencies, without a compromise on modulation speed and modulation voltage. © OSA 2013.
