The purpose of this study was to describe thirty Taiwanese university seniors’ perspectives on the university career in the final year. A qualitatively phenomenological research method and semi-structural in-depth interviews were adopted to capture the essence of seniors’ experiences and to yield an understanding of students’ various perspectives and horizons of meaning in final-year life on campus. Thirty six students (half are men and half are women), ranging from 21 to 26 years old, from three universities were invited to participate in this study. Three themes were emerged as follows: senior students retrospect and seize for the moment, prospect and plan for the future, and integrate university experience and establish self-identity. Counseling, student affairs, and education professionals could employ the findings in this study to conduct effective services and strategies to assist seniors manage a productive journey and have a good psychosocial development in the final year of university career; and assist them transit to next phase of life after graduation.
