Abstract
This paper reports a microfluidic biochip with four main functions including emulsion droplet generating, sorting, and adding, subtracting for human embryo culturing. We could generate droplets with the size of microliter different from the past studies. Traditionally, it takes four days for an embryo to grow from zygote to blastocyst in a petri dish. In our research, we designed six sections, three inlets, and three outlets in our chip to conduct the four above functions for a four day embryo culturing experiment. Currently, the experiment is conducted by 100 µm PS beads, the same size as embryos, for testing.
