Abstract
In this research, we combined ISM and FET to accomplish a small, short response time, easy to fabricate and convenient cadmium ion sensor. We got the dynamic range from 10 -11 M to 10 -7 M covering the highest tolerable concentration of water regulation. The result is very comparable to ICP-MS and the detection limit is between 10 -11 M to 10 -12 M. The most important aspect of our device is that it has higher sensitivity than ideal Nernst response. This sensor would be a great help to detect the cadmium ions in water. Finally, this convenient, fast, batch-production capable device has the potential to be commercialized in the market.
