Abstract
We have developed a free-solution protein separation/fractionation microchip device (100 fractionation chambers, 140 nL each) for minute samples based on the principle of two dimensional isoelectric focusing (2-D IEF). Test samples with a small isoelectric point (pI) difference (Δ pI=0.3) were separated and fractionated into different chambers in a total separation time of 10 min at a maximum applied voltage of 500 V. © 2009 CBMS.
