Abstract

Cancer CTC Detection Self-assembly Control and Systems Engineering
This study proposes a high-density cells spreading chip which can be employed to clearly identify one rare cell in 106 blood cells and 8ml whole blood can be fully examined in 3 chips. With the employment of gravity force and fluidic dynamic force, all the cells from blood samples can be automatically spread and arrayed to form low-level stacks in the chip. The target cells can be identified from a huge numbers of background cells (lymphocytes) directly.
