Abstract
Predicated on the assumption that person-group fit is vital to team work, this paper examines how person-group fit influences team members’ organizational citizenship behavior toward individuals through intention to initiative and perceived personal impact. This study of 214 team membersupervisor dyads examined a mediated model with structural equation modeling. Dyadic data reduced the concern of common method bias. Results indicated that intention to initiative fully mediated the relationship between person-group fit and employees’ organizational citizenship behavior. However, the mediator role of perceived personal impact was not supported. Limitations and practical implications of this study, and suggestions for future research were specified.
