Abstract

Electronic Optical and Magnetic Materials Mechanics of Materials
Observing the resonance wavelengths of nanoantennas (NAs) with changing incident angles in TM polarization, coupling mode transformation (CMT) phenomenon is observed when the resonance wavelengths shift. The aim of this study is to predict coupling mode and resonance wavelength by theoretical analysis and actual experimental framework. Near-field distribution shows the coupling modes at resonance wavelength about NAs with TM polarization for validating. CMT model is presented by measuring the spectrum of extinction cross section at resonance angle. The result of theoretical analysis is in good agreement with finite element analysis method (FEM) simulation and experimental measurement. A new approach to confirm the coupling mode without observing the near-field distribution of NAs is presented here.
