In this paper, the worst cases of the wind gust were analyzed based on the wind speed data collected at Fangyuan offshore meteorological mast located at Changhua county in Taiwan from 2017 to 2018, the impacts of tower height on the wind speed were investigated, and the PSS®E wind turbine dynamic models considered the wind speed variability were introduced for evaluating the adverse influences of wind gust of wind turbines on power system frequency regulation. Regarding the cloud shading, the worst cases were also analyzed based on the solar irradiation data collected at Longjing solar power station located at Taichung city of Taiwan from 2016 to 2017, the impacts of solar irradiation on output power of photovoltaics modules were investigated, and the PSS®E photovoltaics system dynamic models considered the irradiation variability were introduced for evaluating the adverse influences of cloud shading on power system frequency regulation.
