Abstract

All-optical wavelength converter;birefringence;semiconductor optical amplifier (SOA)
A novel wavelength conversion scheme using differential cross polarization modulation (DXPoM) is proposed. Compared with the conventional XPoM, DXPoM exhibits over 300% rise time improvement, 50% timing jitter reduction and 9% higher extinction ratio.
