Drug testing platform Hyperthermic Intraperitoneal Chemotherapy Microfluidics chip Multicellular tumor spheroids Peritoneal carcinomatosis Computer Science Applications Electrical and Electronic Engineering Control and Optimization Instrumentation
We present a tumor-culturing microfluidic chip that combines 3D cell spheroids culturing and drug screening; The microfluidic chip takes advantage of specific flow channels and microwells to generate three kinds of co-cultured cell spheroids with varying ratios of cells. The drug combination will flow into spheroid culture areas to treat tumor spheroids. The in-vivo actual situation is approached through our design of the in-vitro tumor and microenvironment. This microfluidic chip is aimed to provide a tumor microenvironment reconstruction and drug screening platform, which become a reference for doctors' drug combination treatment.
