Abstract

Amperometric detection Aptamer Influenza virus Microfluidics
Influenza H1N1 viruses have caused serious concerns over the past decade. As a result, development of automatic and compact devices is of great needs. Conventional approaches, however, suffer from several critical issues such as time-consuming and low specificity. In this work, we therefore present a new approach for amperometric detection of influenza A virus using a new aptamer-antibody assay, which could be automatically performed on an integrated microfluidic system. The limit of the detection was significantly improved due to the high affinity and specificity of the aptamer. Experimental data showed that the developed microfluidic system could detect influenza virus successfully.
