Abstract
The paper describes results obtained using a multiple input-output method based on statistical signal analysis of a linear, constant parameter dynamic system. The method, the interferenced input technique, was applied for source identification purposes. The major difference between this method and conventional or conditioned multiple input-output methods is that the approach takes into account the interference between measurable inputs that actually occurs in practical situations. Force transducers, accelerometers, and pressure microphones are not selective, so that the input interference problem will exist in cases when mechanical or acoustical vibrations are investigated.
