Abstract
There are many microfluidic devices such as heart pump made by polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) without the supplement of external energy sources [1] with Cardiomyocytes sheet, but the cell viability and alignment is an obstacle to facilitate the adhesion with substrate and cellular function. Here we propose a three-dimensional culture system with microgrooved well substrates to confine growth orientation of Cardiomyocytes in order to enhance the contractility and synchronization of Cardiomyocytes beating.
