Abstract
A second harmonic 82 MHz modelocked green laser pulses generation is described by using a diode-pumped self-frequency doubling neodymium yttrium aluminum borate (NYAB) crystal. The laser is pumped by a 700 mW laser diode with a fiber output core of 50 μm. With two objective lenses, the pumping beam is focused to the laser crystal with a beam waist of approximately 60 μm. A modulation with period of 11.3 ps appears around the peak of the autocorrelation trace, which results from the Fabry-Perot effect of the residual reflection at the AR-coated facet of the crystal.
