There are many companies with vertical integration and outsourcing process. Their different levels of capacity in different stages create complex coopetition relationships. Different business models differently influence on the corresponding business objectives including revenue, profit, and gross margin. Because of the expensive capacity and scarce resources, the Available-to-promise (ATP) becomes a crucial strategy. This study proposes a multi-objective demand fulfillment genetic algorithm (modfGA) to optimize the ATP. The nonlinear objective functions could be computed by simply process after decoding. The Pareto approach tradeoffs objectives without sacrificing other benefits. Results of empirical study show that the proposed modfGA can improve gross margin while maintaining the desired revenue and profit. With effective solutions and reasonable computation effort, the modfGA has become a regular decision support system in the case company.
