Abstract

Acetylacetone Dielectric constant Extended-nano space NMR Tautomeric equilibrium Chemical Engineering (miscellaneous) Bioengineering
We examine size-dependence of the tautomeric equilibrium between keto and enol tautomers of acetylacetone (Hacac) in water confined in hundred-nanometer-sized channels on a microchip (called extended-nano space) by using 1H-NMR spectroscopy. The results showed that keto tautomers of Hacac increase with decreasing in the sizes, and that water polarity changes by size-confinement. © 2006 Society for Chemistry and Micro-Nano Systems.
