Abstract
A novel temperature control system based on Fuzzy-PID algorithm has been studied for regulating the barrel temperature on injection molding machines. In this study, numerical simulations and experimental verifications of the Fuzzy-PID controller have been shown with results that are superior to conventional PID controller when considering overshoot and rise time. Also, the advantage of time-saving on gain tuning procedure compared to the conventional PID control tuned by Ziegler-Nichols method has been illustrated with examples.
