This paper reports a planar-integrated photothermal detection device for nonfluorescent molecules. We implanted optical fibers into a glass microchip for optical detection. Detection limit of the device improved by one order of magnitude compared with a device using a waveguide; The detection limit of a nonfluorescent molecule(Sunset Yellow) in a 5 Pm-depth microchannel was 2.5 PM.
