Abstract

Copper oxide Laser Nanoparticle sintering Pulsed flash light Electrical and Electronic Engineering Mechanics of Materials Electronic Optical and Magnetic Materials Instrumentation
Consider the poor heat resistance of polymer substrates, the high cost of precious metals such as gold and silver, and the easy oxidation of nano copper, this study develops photonic sintering of Cu2O composite pastes for preparing highly conductive circuits on PI and PET substrates. Xenon flash and diode laser (with the wavelength of 638 nm) are selected as light sources. As for Cu films on PI substrate, a low electrical resistivity of 50.7 μΩ‧cm can be obtained using pulsed flash. It is worthy to notice that notable the electrical resistivity can be down to 4.3 μΩ‧cm can be achieved using continuous laser.
