Abstract

Automatic Image System Cell Capture Circulating Tumor Cells Microfluidics Bioengineering Chemical Engineering (miscellaneous)
This work highlights the Capturing of CTCs from the whole blood on a 2nd generation Self assembled cell arrangement chip (SACA). Identification and quantification are achieved by in-house automated digital image acquisition system(Digi-SACA). Further, efficient CTCs picking and delivering are successfully demonstrated by hand -made glass micropipette without cellular damage. Delivered CTCs were succesfully incubated for 7-9 days in normal cell culture conditions. The CTC imaging, detection, and CTC picking together needs 1-2 hours for 2ml of blood sample.
