Abstract

Chromatographic Image Process Optical Sensor Electrical and Electronic Engineering
This study presents a portable device integrating a micro-spectrometer, stepper motor, and position sensor controlled by a Raspberry Pi for rapid and high-resolution chromatographic analysis. Utilizing continuous spectral detection, the system monitors intensity fluctuations across characteristic wavelengths, with a detection time of approximately 30 seconds. Spectral data normalization against a white reference spectrum ensures precise tracking of reflectance changes at specific wavelengths. Validation on red and blue printed test papers confirmed the device's accuracy, and further tests with mixed chemical reagents demonstrated its ability to simultaneously measure reflectance intensity changes at multiple wavelengths. This method provides comprehensive insights into chromatographic separations, highlighting its potential for various analytical applications in environmental monitoring and healthcare diagnostics.
