Rare cells isolation on SACA chip for automatic cells analysis

Nowadays, it's a major challenge to detect/isolate rare cells among a huge number of blood cells. In this study, we present an automatic system working with self-assembled-cells-array (SACA) chip to rare cell screening/picking for single cell analysis. Each chamber of a SACA chip can accommodate half million cells and the flow field will arrange the cells into a single dense layer. Three light sources are used to scan over each chamber and perform overlay analysis to locate the target cells. Then, the system will capture each individual cell/cluster by glass micro needle and stored them in separate buffers for sequencing/analysis.
