Abstract

Gel Separable microchip Suraface modification Vascular tissue Chemical Engineering (miscellaneous) Bioengineering
We here proposed a novel non-invasive recovery and manipulation system of vascular tissues for practicable applications of tissue engineering using a separable microchip, which can be reversibly separated between upper and lower substrates. This separable microchip allowed to culture cells under medium perfusion without any leakages. And the cultured tissues were recovered with gelatine gel under the temperature control. This report is first demonstration of non-invasive recovery and manipulation system of vascular tissues cultured in microchannels, and will be useful for the regeneration of various tissues with complex structures. © 2009 CBMS.
