Abstract
A novel technique of stretchable and flexible silver nanowires (AgNWs) microelectrodes on silicone rubber is proposed. Various dimension patterns of AgNWs microelectrodes are fabricated by roll-printing process, which is a mass-manufacturable and cost-effective method. AgNWs have gained attention as conductive materials for stretchable and flexible electronics. In this study, we have developed and demonstrated stretchable and flexible AgNWs microelectrodes by roll-printing process. Double layers roll-printing in vertical or parallel directions, the AgNWs microelectrodes showed the different electrical performance due to the directionality. The developed roll-printed AgNWs microelectrodes displayed the superior flexibility and stretchability compared to the screen-printed silver nanoparticles microelectrodes.
