Abstract
In this paper we propose a nanomasking mechanism to produce a highly selective etching ratio to create more hot-spots for Surface-enhanced Raman spectroscopy (SERS) enhancement of a Janus-Biosensor. Compared with the original method by creating roughness on the surface by oxygen plasma etching noncarboxylated polystyrene beads (PSBs), this paper reports an improved method for processing High-Aspect-Ratio nano-structures, defined as nano-fingers, which extend the third dimension of nano-mushrooms to produce more hot-spots for greater SERS enhancement around 12.2 times, which sensor could be proposed as high sensitivity bio-sensing application purpose.
