Abstract
An efficient and effective method is proposed to search for all MPs in a network (modified networks) obtained by modifying the original network. This process can be used for reliability analysis of various modifications in an existing network for network expansion or reinforcement evaluation and planning. Our method is based upon the reformation of all MPs in the original network. Without researching for all MPs in the modified network, the proposed algorithm is more efficient and effective to implement. In this presentation, first we develop an intuitive algorithm to search for all MPs in a modified network. Next the computational complexity of the proposed algorithm is analyzed and compared with the existing methods. Finally, examples are illustrated to show how all MPs are generated in a modified network based upon the reformation of all of the MPs in the corresponding original network.
