Abstract
Electrodynamics systems have long encountered bio-fouling issues due to electrical fields induced non-specific binding occurred on electrode surfaces. To overcome this issue, surface modification by anti-biofouling materials is necessary for electrode surface passivation. Homogeneous and stability of coating performance plays a key role in providing effective for passivation, the ability of anti-biofouling layer was determined by membrane lifetime and high zwitterionic degree. Here, we proposed a conductive zwitterionic self-doped sulfonated polyaniline (SPANI) film which can be easily conjugated on electrode surfaces by electrochemical polymerization on the selected electrode surfaces. Experimental results demonstrated that dielectrophoresis(DEP) electrodes modified with SPANI showed a adsorption mass lower than 4.5% after four cycles of E. coli capturing and releasing and the average lower than 3.5%.
